Bucket of Does
"Bucket of Does"
For the confused:
Verizon came out with a new phone, DROID, whose tagline is "A bare knuckled bucket of does." This works fine for TV ads, but in print not so much. Nancy Friedman blogged about how this works fine for TV ads, but in print not so much. My friend Bronwyn Jones sent me a link and asked me to draw a bucket of does.
And here it is.
'night!

January 22, 2010 at 11:28 AMan ad is supposed to make one remember the product. The "bucket of does" was so baffling that a couple of acquaintances and I immersed ourselves more about "does" being does (plural of doe, a deer, a female deer); do's, as a list of things to do; and a few other "maybe they made a mistake and meant..." - oh, what were they trying to sell?
