Secret projects

Sorry for the long hiatus folks. I've been painting up a storm, but wasn't sure if the project is secret or not. Either way, here's a small slice of one thing I finished last night =)

PRINTS:
For those of you who have been asking for prints, there's great news! Three of my pieces: "Growth", "Shore" and "Crawl" are now on sale as high quality giclee prints at gelaskins.com. Take a look, and while you're there pick up a skin for your phone or computer - =)

I'm also selling signed limited edition prints of my piece "The Chase."



APE:
Alternative Press Expo is a convention run by the same folks who throw Comic-Con and WonderCon. As it says on their site, there will be "hundreds of the world's top comic artists under one roof." Luckily it's also open to normal type artists, so I got a table. I'll be selling books, buttons, prints, and a few other surprises. Gelaskins will have a booth as well, so you might catch me doing some live painting there... If you happen to be in the Bay area this coming weekend (Nov 1st and 2nd), make sure to stop by!

Out of Sequence

Got back on Saturday from my trip to the Chicago area. The "Out of Sequence" show was great! If you are in the Champaign, IL area, definitely go and check it out. Details here.

I had a really good time hanging out with family, seeing old friends and professors, and meeting new friends!

New books!!

Yeah!! My new books came in the mail today =). I'll be selling these at APE, but eventually they'll be for sale on my site as well. Probably for around 25-30 dollars...

Sweet. They look really great.

buttonlicious weekend.

The fruits of my labor over the weekend... I made nearly 400 buttons. Ridiculous.


Also, I came up with an idea of doing premium buttons -- taking a painting and carving out actual scraps of the painting to make into buttons. It'll be interesting to see if people would be interested in purchasing these one of a kind type items. =).

Cool. Also, the flowers/leaves look white because they are painted with silver watercolor paint... it looks pretty sweet in person, but in the picture you don't get the full effect.

Still pretty neat though.

I am a button packaging machine.

Caught the tail end of the presidential debate while packaging these goodies in their little goody bags.

They'll be $3 for a pack of four. =) Once I have enough to get me through APE, I'll add them to my store!

Tonight I took a mental vacation and became a button machine. Good times. Still not nearly ready for APE, but getting closer...

In other news, I already got around seven inquiries for the limited edition prints after just one day! Neat =).
