Garbage Pail Kids Show: Roy Bot
This Friday September 2, over 100 artists are coming together to re-appropriate the iconic Garbage Pail Kids trading card sets from our childhood. Gallery 1988, The Hundreds, and Topps to make this a reality… The exhibition opens Sept 2nd from 7 to 10pm at Gallery 1988 on Melrose.

It's been a while, but I'm still alive! Apologies for the long hiatus, life has been crazy busy. Here's a velociraptor in a top hat saying hello to a chicken.
PS - The "Japan Dreams" skateboard piece raised over $300 for charity, and my "I think we'll be okay here Leon" piece sold on the opening night of the show!

Here's the finished piece for the Plywood for Good charity by Collective Good. Collective Good has partnered with Direct Relief International to donate 100% of the proceeds from Plywood for Good to aid the rebuilding efforts in Japan.
This piece, along with 29 other skateboards painted by other artists, will be auctioned off on Thursday, July 14 at Project One in San Francisco. See here for more details: Plywood for Good

This piece is for a show coming up in a couple weeks – Gallery 1988's annual Crazy 4 Cult show, featuring artists' interpretations of classic cult movies. My piece is inspired by one of my favorite movies, "The Professional." I'm pretty stoked for this show, and it's the first one of these that I might actually be able to catch down in LA!

So this piece is actually a submission to a contest on "Stuff No One Told Me" – a great blog by an extremely talented artist and illustrator, Alex Noriega. He posts illustrated words of wisdom on topics of life, love and design. Check out his stuff, it's great.
