Screenprinting! "City Walker"
I learned how to screenprint! Friend and fellow artist extraordinaire Kathy Jaller graciously set up a hands on workshop in her studio this weekend, and we all had a blast.
We had a session yesterday and today, learning how to stretch, prep, and burn screens. I made a screen of City Walker and Dive, and started experimenting on paper. Next week will be devoted to printing (shirts maybe?). I just printed the robot today, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the fish looks when I try it out next week!
Apologies for image quality, these were taken with my phone camera -
Dragon Angel
"Dragon Angel" - ink, watercolor and gouache on paper - 6" x 6"
This is a piece for the Robots and Monsters charity - source words: angelic, dragon, oriental. Learn more about the charity here.
Looks like things are going to be busy with life and work for the next few months, hopefully I can keep up!

Hey Reddit
"Hey Reddit" - ink, watercolor and gouache on paper - 7" x 10"
I posted something in a thread on reddit a few days back and got a really positive response to my artwork. I figured it was the least I could do to paint something for the community -- as a thank you for all the nice comments and bump in traffic =).
(redditors love narwhals. but really, who doesn't?)
"Spark"
"Spark" - ink, watercolor and gouache on paper - 16" x 12"
First painting of the year! This was pretty satisfying to finish... it feels like many of the techniques I've been experimenting with are melding well =).
