Beautiful. For some reason, I feel sad looking at this, because he's alone all himself in this severe-looking weather.What I mean is...the archangle looks sophisticated! in a good way. I like the fact that his wing is extending through the white border.

Yes, definitely keep the border. It gave your piece depth when you let the central figure overlap the white border. I really like this one.

I personally think that the border takes away from the painting.It has less impact.But I love the painting and the whole mood of it is great.Its intense.
