Emerge

"Emerge" - ink, watercolor and gouache on paper - 12" x 9"

I was just experimenting with textures, and it kind of formed into this crazy froth monster... and then a little guy showed up.

It's been a good weekend -- framed and shipped off pieces for two shows coming up. One in San Francisco, and one in Los Angeles. I'll have a separate post with more details soon!

  1. just wondering, why'd you stop showing the tabletop background with your paintings? it made your pieces more tangible--a very appealing effect. :)

  2. The textures are awesome in this piece.

    Excellent work :)

  3. Thanks guys, glad you like it?

I haven't been doing the tabletop background lately because these recent pieces are a bit busier... and including the tabletop would just make everything get lost in the noise. I like that effect though, definitely =)

  4. He looks like a bush until you look really close... I like it! This is awesome.

  5. That looks crazy (a good crazy). I stared at it for a very long time in a studious awe.

  6. This kind of reminds me of the scene in the mud bog wit the giant turtle in Neverending Story for some reason. I like it! Good work.

  7. I just found your work and i am in awe!

how do you do it though?

  8. Do you know in which dynasty high-heeled Christian Louboutin
first appear in China? Christian Louboutin Pumps
represent noble and status in old China. In nowadays, Christian Louboutin Boots
Christian Louboutin high-heeled Christian Louboutin Sandals
    represent noble.
